General Questions
What is an Economic Mission?
An economic mission is an organization that accomplished a compassionate objective by using sound business principles and the inherent abilities of those the mission is benefiting.
How Can Pravi Shirts be so affordable?
Although we want to be marginally profitable, Pravi doesn’t need to maximize profits. Our mission is to pull as many people as possible out of poverty. Our board and ownership agreed that by having a durable uniform polo at an unbeatable price, we can maximize the number of people we pull out of poverty. We have other many benefits like Angel Investors, Rent Free Facilities and Tariff Free Privileges which are passed on to you.
Is Pravi mission Christian based?
Yes. God’s hands are all over this economic mission and we believe we are doing the will of God. We are also quality based and accountability based. We have higher standards and our employees do a great job. They make shirts like their lives depend on it because from a certain perspective…it does. Our staff loves the idea that being successful means that the company will grow and they will be responsible for pulling their neighbors out of poverty. We are the only manufacturing facility in our village so the neighbors encourage our staff to do well so they can get jobs. We have something very special working in Haiti.
Is Pravi a non-profit organization?
No. We will need to make a profit so we can build our second factory and employ more people. Our big goal is to employ thousands of people. (Maximizing employment through quality production is our purpose). Owners and investors do not profit from this venture. Angel investors put millions into a modern factory and will eventually get paid back. Our sales and marketing entity in the US are motivated by purpose and commissions. They want to make an honest living and do something awesome.
What does the future look like?
If we work the plan to fruition, we would have a reputation for quality and increased market share to follow. We want to keep growing because that means more people are pulled out of poverty. We see additional factories in other impoverished countries and we hope we can have Economic Mission competition or companion companies working the model because it is and will always be about pulling people out of poverty.
